What are the best day trips from Accra?

Aburi for cool air and gardens, and Shai Hills for a sunrise hike, are each about an hour away. Ada and the Volta around Akosombo are about two hours away, and Boti Falls is a little further. Cape Coast and Elmina are best as an overnight trip.

When is the best time for a day trip?

November to March is dry, which is best for beaches and boats. The waterfalls run fullest during and just after the rains, from June to October.

Can you plan a trip for a group?

Yes. We arrange transport, food and bookings for friends, families or a whole team, and share one plan on WhatsApp.

What to expect
